Initial Shock is a new visual signature effect from Mark Mason in which a signature visibly transfers from a signed card box to a spectator’s freely selected, initialed card; it uses a regular, examinable card box, requires no palming, and resets in about two seconds.

• Effect: signature visibly jumps from a signed card box onto a spectator’s initialed card (spectator keeps the card).
• Procedure highlights: spectator selects a card and initials both ends; performer signs the box; signature appears on the card in full view.
